Graduate Student Organization (GSO):
The Graduate Student Organization aims to help graduate students cultivate strong social, academic, and professional relations with the scientific community within USciences as well as externally. This allows us to contribute to the advancement of the scientific community by paving the way for tomorrow’s scientists and giving them an opportunity to network and make connections. Therefore, the donations made to our organization will go towards our annual Spring Career Panel Event. During this event, alumni and panelists from the scientific community are invited to USciences to give talks and network with our graduate students, giving them a chance to explore career opportunities for when they graduate.
Fundraising Initiative:
Career Pathways - Goal $1,500
This annual event allows graduate students, alumni, and other members of the scientific community to come together for a professional networking event. Graduate students will be able to explore the various career paths available to them within their fields once they graduate. The event will include a panel discussion with speakers where graduate students will be able to ask questions, a photographer to take professional headshots, and an open reception for everyone to socialize and network.
