Philadelphia College of Pharmacy:
For over 200 years, Philadelphia College of Pharmacy (PCP) has trained leaders and innovators in pharmacy practice, research, and education. Home to programs in pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacology & toxicology, and pharmaceutical and healthcare business, PCP is where modern pharmacy started. PCP will be merging into St. Joseph's University next year! Donations to PCP today will help us aid students as we move into our third century!
Fundraising Initiatives Below:
P4 Tuition Relief Fund - Goal $5,000
Donations to this fund will be used to directly support P4 Pharmacy students during their final year at PCP. A higher tuition and reduced ability to work outside class time makes this particular fund helpful to our soon to be pharmacists!
Culture of Caring - Goal $50,000
Launched in 2018 by Dean Foote, the Culture of Caring campaign is a student-centered initiative to enhance the experience for all students at PCP. Donations are used to support new and existing PCP Student events (including foot!), increase faculty/student engagement and serve as a resource to help students who might have critical and unmet needs.
Student Travel Fund - Goal $5,000
Attending and participating in local, state and professional meetings is an important part of professional development. This fund is used specifically to defray some of the costs associated with travel. The PCP dean's office offers every single student some help with travel but meeting the needs of all students is difficult. Donations to this fund will be directed to these students.
Dr. Semanyk Resource Scholarship Fund - Goal $3,000
The late Mindy Semanyk was a PCP graduate and long-serving preceptor. She was beloved by students and was dedicated to helping students with financial hardships. This fund was created to support needy students and donations will be used to grow the endowment within this fund.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion - Goal $5,000
Donations to this fund will be used to directly support the College's efforts to maintain and expand its diverse student body. Through ensuring equitable learning environments and further developing an inclusive culture where students of all backgrounds feel welcomed and supported. To achieve these goals, donations will go to support student networking and professional engagement, faculty and staff development and other related activities.
Tom Bernhardt Endowed Scholarship - Goal $3,000
Tom Bernhardt served the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy for 35 years until his passing on May 13, 2013. Tom was the first Experiential (Clerkship) Director at PCP. Tom had a huge impact on our students and our program. Countless PCP alums attribute much of their career and life success to him, because of his thoughtful assistance, guidance, direction and his innate ability to keep students professional, focused and able to toe the line. The Tom Bernhardt Scholarship was created in his honor in order to help prepare students to meet the challenges of their emerging profession. Donations will be used to grow the endowment.
